1. It was Saturday morning, and all the summer world was bright and fresh, and filled with life. There was a song in every heart. There was cheer in every face and a spring in every step. The air was filled with the pleasant smell of flowers. Cardiff Hill, beyond the village and above it, was green with trees and looked beautiful.
2. A girl called Amy Lawrence disappeared completely out of Tom’s heart. He had spent months winning her, and here in one instant she had gone out of his heart like a stranger.
3. Then he pretended he did not know she was present, and began to “show off” in all sorts of silly ways, in order to win her admiration.
4. Then he stopped only for a minute and buttoned the flower inside his jacket, next his heart --- or next his stomach, possibly, for he was not sure where his heart exactly was, anyway.
5. he got up and moved in clouds and darkness out at one door as she brought song and sunshine in at the other.
6. Huckleberry was always dressed in worn clothes thrown off by full-grown men. He came and went, at his own free will. He slept on doorsteps in fine weather and in empty barrels when it rained. He did not have to go to school or to church, or call anybody master or obey anybody. He could go fishing or swimming when and where he chose and stay as long as it suited him. Nobody forbade him to fight. He could sit up as late as he pleased. He was always the first boy that went barefoot in the spring and the last to put on his shoes in the fall. He never had to wash, nor put on clean clothes. He could swear wonderfully. In a word, that boy had everything that made life precious. That was what every sad boy thought in St. Petersburg.
教学反思:
